Marketing professionals and experts agree that the customer journey is one of the most important concepts for any brand marketing strategy. The customer journey is a term that refers to the steps that a customer takes, from becoming aware of a product or service to completing a purchase.

Whether you are selling a product or a service, it’s intended for a specific group of customers or a target market. But do you understand anything about that group of people? This where a target audience comes, which defines that group of people. A target audience is a group of consumers characterized by behaviors and specific demographics, and knowing your target audience can help to influence decision making for a marketing strategy. Finding your target audience takes a lot of work and research so that you can figure out who exactly you want to reach. Below, we have some tips on how to find your target audience.

Wouldn’t it be nice to live in a world of endless PTO, stunning vacation destinations, and perfect work-life balance? Unfortunately for most small business or startups, this is the stuff of dreams. They are often more focused on “surviving” than “thriving”.

When the focus is on “surviving”, the more creative aspects of a business such as content marketing can be stifled. Keeping up with emerging technologies and societal trends and consistently meeting the customer’s ever-changing needs is exhausting. To make it a little easier, we broke it down for you.

It goes without question that mobile is here to stay for the long haul, but what does this mean for the future of desktop and its significance?
The problem we often see today is the lack of knowledge businesses have when it comes to knowing their target audience. When asked, 50% of businesses feel that they don’t know their target audience. This is a crippling statistic for the fact that one of the most important aspects of having a successful business is knowing, understanding and engaging your target audience. When businesses understand their target audience they save time and money. This is because they are focusing their marketing efforts on someone who is most likely going to buy their product, therefore they are getting the most value out of their budget.
1. Not listening

As a marketer you have a pretty good understanding of what actually needs to be done for a client, however sometimes marketers go off on their own ideas and ignore what the client wants. STOP!  Remember the number 1 objective should be your client's happiness. That means listening to what the client wants and making compromises when possible.
We’ve all heard the expression “money is in the list,” and it’s true. So, to build the list what is your best tool? I’m a fan of the lead magnet. A lead magnet is defined as an irresistible and ethical bribe offering a specific chunk of value to a prospect in exchange for their contact information. Creating a good lead magnet is different than just creating something. It has to be relevant to what you eventually want to sell, and it has to be of value to your audience.
I have a personal fascination with color: the history behind it, the emotions it evokes and the simple beauty of it.

I also now have an appreciation of how color influences brand identity and marketing strategy.
