Marketing Consultant Shares Insights blog

Life is one rollercoaster ride that just keeps going round and round. If you ever stop and get off, and wait a few moments, you either wonder whether you enjoyed it better being on the roller coast or whether or not standing still was and is a better option.

A catalyst for many things in life is change. Do we want change, or do we want to keep doing the same things we've always done. You know that saying "If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always gotten." Tony Robbins nailed it with that one and I hear it over and over again, only to be reminded of how true this saying really is.
Do you know someone who always has to have the last word in a conversation or an argument? Everyone has come across this type of person and knows how frustrating or plain sad it is when you see it. [space height="HEIGHT"]
Having the last word is closely associated with ego. Egomaniacs always have to have the last word. It gives them a feeling of power, as if they immediate draw all of the power of the person they are communicating with and become powerful due to it. [space height="HEIGHT"]
As we close our offices today until the second week of January, I realise that it's time to reflect on our wonderful journey and what we have all learned this year.

We have had the most amazing experiences, namely through our people and clients, who constantly amaze me with their insights, perseverance and determination to kick goals.

I've been in business for about 16 years and I have to say that I have been mostly fortunate that our brand has stayed intact by the people who represent it. I'm sure there have been times when things have not gone according to plan or an outcome has not been achieved, but the people that work at Marketing Eye, particularly today and over the past 2 years, are exceptional people - inside and out.

I can also say that when I have met with companies, I have had a good 'experience'  with their brands, whether we have chosen to work together or not.
One bad egg can now cripple a business. But not in my father's generation. That of course would never have happened. And so how the world has changed.

The poison that one person can throw on a company is insurmountable, all made by humans of course in the form of the internet. Yet, we all breathe faith into common sense as a whole and how one complainer, may in fact be the only one.
Innovation was a popular word in the office yesterday and as I watched everyone talk about innovation in one way or another, I became enthralled with how excited everyone was just by using the term.
Do your friends say the same things to you over and over again, and you shrug it off thinking they have no idea?

Have you had the same type of relationships over and over again, only to find that they keep ending the same?

Do you keep on getting the same outcome out of life and still find yourself sitting there on a Sunday night lonely?
In any relationship, to spend time caring about another individual and sometimes sacrificing your own immediate wants, is the traits of a good person.

It could be a friend, a loved one, family, a client, a supplier or a member of your team.

When you watch relationships going on around you and you see people who genuinely care about others, its always a warm feeling. It doesn't even have to be about you.
It’s not what your marketing company really wants to hear, but hey, it’s the reality.
