Marketing Consultant Shares Insights blog

Hotjar is a company with a global team that serves customers all around the world, with a mission dedicated to helping people make websites their users love. Hotjar is now rebranding itself in all aspects, with a focus on having immediate recall from consumers, users, and the public when they view the name “Hotjar” itself.

Plenty of companies go through brand transformations every year, but what exactly does that look like? More often than not, brands fall back on changing or updating the logo with a new color scheme. This is a great step forward by any metric, but it should never stop with a newish logo. A rebrand should be treated as a complete company brand overhaul, a revolution of your company’s messaging and branding. Your logo design will play a part in this, but it’s only a piece of the greater objective. Any brand changes should be seen as an exciting and new opportunity for your company and your employees to improve the overall customer experience. It’s not products that are selling these days; it’s the experience a company provides. In this blog, we’ve got a few ideas to ensure a successful brand relaunch.

Your company’s brand is the most powerful tool in your toolbelt. As businesses grow and adapt to a constantly-evolving world with new tastes, new innovations, and new customer demands, it’s essential for your brand to reflect the current marketplace, but how do you know if you should rebrand or just refresh?

Driving back from Hilton Head in South Carolina on the weekend, #24yrold asked me what I thought of the new branding for Yahoo! I hadn't given it much thought and had mainly seen press around the rebrand that was negative - aimed directly at Marissa Mayer.

My thoughts on Marissa Mayer are varied. Firstly, she should be applauded for her career achievements, ambitions and determination to clean up a company of Yahoo!'s magnititude. She is a woman who is held in high esteem amongst most women who want to climb the corporate ladder.  The downside of Marissa Mayer is that she comes across as arrogant, dominant and because she makes the hard decisions - not always in good favor with her colleagues.
