Emerging technology companies can have bright business prospects, however without the right marketing strategies in place, their ability to attain long-term goals are far from reach.

You may ask; Why are such prospective companies still failing to succeed in their marketing?

My answer to this question is quite simple.

Have you ever cut of your nose in spite of your face? If you think that you haven't - ever - then perhaps you are kidding yourself. We have all done it in life and our careers. It's the lessons we learn from our mistakes that often take us to where we need to be. We've all heard this many times before, and without sounding like a broken record, it needs reinforcing. No matter what age we are or what stage we are in our careers, we will make mistakes, choose the wrong option and be afraid to the take risks that might just lead us to where we want to go.

This pandemic provides a tough environment for marketing as brands wonder how to realign their strategies to match the changes in the business environment. Yet, in the ever-competitive and changing business world, a number of factors exist that when acted on, can be used to augment your brand's marketing strategy. COVID-19 is changing consumer behavior in various different ways, there must be a shift in marketing objectives and the strategies used to achieve brand success. Augmented strategies won't just help your business gain resilience to the effects of COVID-19, but allow your business to thrive as a leader within your industry.

Effective marketing can only begin with a carefully planned marketing strategy. Unfortunately, most businesses aren’t able to reach their full potential because they lack a clear marketing strategy. A marketing strategy should be a clearly defined long-term plan, one which outlines quantifiable goals and key steps towards how to define your business amongst competitors and generate brand awareness.

Discovering exactly what your digital marketing strategies and marketing campaigns need, and exactly how to develop them will help you make the most of your business and boost overall revenue.

The meteoric rise of digital marketing only proves the importance for businesses to understand how to effectively measure their success. We've discussed what the best marketing tactics for lead generation and marketing strategies for small companies are, but how can we actually know whether these strategies have worked or not?

This is where Digital Marketing Metrics come in. Metrics are the tools we use to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.  You can capture these metrics through analytic tools such as Google Analytics, HubSpot Analytics, and SEMrush. This is not to be confused with your business Key Performance Indicators.  Key Performance Indicators track the performance of your business, whilst metrics are an indication of how effective your processes are. All KPIs are metrics but not all metrics are KPIs.

An advantage of understanding how to read metrics is that you are often able to see the impacts of your marketing campaigns in real-time, as opposed to traditional marketing campaigns, where the results were often not seen until months to potentially years later.

6 Tools to Build and Drive Authentic Customer Engagement in 2021

Brands currently face the post-pandemic challenge of competing for consumer engagement in a densely populated digital space. Here are 6 tools to get up to speed.

Many brands struggle to harness the lightning strike that is highly engaging content and those who, often fail to see it hit twice in the right place. Even when engagement appears to be high for some brands on their social media handles and other interactive networking platforms, it can be faked using bots. As a result, the importance of developing authentic engagement in the marketplace and on the street has never been higher. The difficult task many modern brands face is to consistently replicate this while building a strong emotional connection over time between their brand and their customers.
