I can't criticize, but it does make me sad. By being different, we present to the world who we really are and our unique beauty should stand for itself. To be able to look in the mirror and appreciate our "flaws" and find the essence of what makes us all as individuals special - is something many of us just cannot do.
We don't need porn star boobs for a man to love us. What example does that set our children, our grandchildren and future generations? I don't have children, but if I did, would I want for my daughter to think that no man will love her unless she looks like everyone else, starts having injectables at a young age, and gets porn star boobs? Are we as women our biggest issue when it comes to gender equality? Are we saying that by having enormous boobs, we are more appealing and that will make men and women like us more? If I had triple D size boobs, do you think anyone would look at me when I had a meeting, or would they be preoccupied by what may be sitting on my chest?
Our faces are being frozen, and it doesn't look pretty. Our lips injected with god knows what! Do you think that this will make us prettier? Do you think it really will turn back the clock? Do you think that you will love yourself more when you look in the mirror?
I am 41 years old turning 42 this year. I haven't succumbed to cosmetic surgery and I hope to god that I never will. I hope I keep looking in that mirror and believing that as I age, I am more beautiful, more experienced and have more to offer the world.
I never want to find that someone loves me because I have changed my face, or have boobs that too big for my body. Nor do I want to present myself in business in any way other than the way I do today.
More women should stand up and tell our female friends that they are beautiful. That by being themselves and being comfortable in their own skin, they will shine in ways they could never do so by trying to change who they are.
I hope this doesn't offend anyone, but instead motivates you to love yourself and who you are by putting more value in things that are not just about looks.
