There were too many lessons to be learnt and experiences that I would care to forget. You see, running a small business has it challenges and when the going gets tough, the only person that ultimately has to get going is the small business owner.
As much as I tried to get through the day, there was one thing after another. Business and in particular small business is like that.
But the lesson I have learned and the way I handle the situation from here, no matter what mistakes that I made in the process, all contribute to how much stronger and more qualified as a small business owner I become.
Fortunately for me, although I don’t have a partner, I have an amazing support group that are there for me day and night. I know how important it is to celebrate others success and to be there when things aren’t so great.
This is always reciprocated.
How do we wake up tomorrow and change our outcomes?
This is what I am going to do?
1. Become better informed
2. Wake up early and get a head start on the day
3. Send flowers to clients that mean the world to me
4. Write personal letters to those who have been great supporters of me during the day
5. Get on with the job and make the changes necessary to achieve the desired outcomes.
I love being a small business owner but there are so many things to take into account. We are never without fault, but I strongly believe if we keep trying to be the best person possible, that things will all fall into line.
My clients are fantastic! They are the only reason I am in business. My staff are talented and supportive and without them, there would be no client satisfaction, therefore no business.
It is an group effort and for some reason it really works. I am proud to represent my company Marketing Eye as a company that cares and that hopefully can make a difference to the businesses we work with.
Bad days… happen. They are part of life whether its personal or in business. Embrace it and learn how you can better manage it next time.
