I go to bed with many of my marketing blog readers every night and they are all looking for some action. Something that is going to 'click' and make the night something to remember. A good headline grabs their attention, but its about what comes after that really matters.
Sometimes I am "on" and sometimes I am not.
The topics vary and the audience changes - daily. It's an ever evolving door and it keeps some people interested and some people not.
When you are thinking about writing a blog, whether its about your business, life or a hobby that you enjoy - remember that if you have an audience, they typically will be going to bed with you, so how do you keep them interested and excited?
Keeping them up all night remembering what your blog was about isn't the worst idea in the book (or blog as it may be).
If they write down notes from your blog and put them into action the day later or the week later - that isn't too bad either.
Writing a blog takes time and the content needs to remain relevant to your target audience. Sometimes that target audience changes and adapting the content in your blog needs to depict that.
Originally, the Marketing Eye blog was written for prospects and now it has evolved into an entrepreneurs blog with a strong marketing flavour.
If you have slept with quite a few of your blog readers or would like to sleep with alot more - then consider the above. Re-visit what you are doing and ask your readers what they want to read about.
BTW... tell us what you think of the Marketing Eye blog and topics that you are interested in.
