The experienced marketing consultant has joined the Atlanta team, bringing to the role extensive knowledge in the advertising, finance, IT, human resources and research industries.
She previously held roles at global advertising giant Clemenger Group and also gained international exposure through her previous corporate and boutique work in Australia and the UK.
As Marketing Eye’s dynamic consultant, Lisa will work with small business owners and entrepreneurs to help Atlanta’s small- and medium-sized businesses boost their success and experience exponential growth.
“Atlanta is a vibrant city with many small businesses, yet a lot of them don’t have an in-house marketing team,” she said.
“In a recent survey, we found that 73.5 per cent of Atlanta small businesses don’t have any marketing resources at all, which is a shame as the city is such a growing hub for entrepreneurs, especially in the IT and human resources sectors.
“Marketing Eye has offered me an exciting opportunity to help entrepreneurs benefit and realise the difference that marketing can make to their business – instead of implementing a sectional approach to marketing, we will offer a holistic strategy that goes across the board, helping develop our clients’ businesses and encouraging growth.”
Lisa’s corporate experience meshes with her working knowledge of small businesses, giving her the innate ability to bring brands to life and engage with client target audiences on multiple levels.
She said her exposure to both large and small businesses gave her an appreciation and understanding of how companies of varying scales worked, along with an insight on how marketing can help boost growth, especially in start-ups and small businesses.
“Working at Clemenger was an invaluable experience as I gained an understanding of how a global company works and grows – it also showed me the importance of client management and how diverse marketing techniques were used to promote businesses in different industry sectors,” Lisa said.
“In the UK, I gained knowledge working as an account manager with boutique agencies, which showed me how to engage with consumers on multiple levels. Essentially, it made me appreciate the fact that every business deserves marketing expertise, regardless of its size.”
Marketing Eye founder and managing director Mellissah Smith welcomed Lisa to the team, saying she was proud to add to her current team of talented marketing specialists and creatives.
“When you already have an existing team and have the unique opportunity of building a new one, you can pick the best of the best – doing so creates a powerful synergy for a company to get it right the first time,” she said.
“As a small business owner myself, it’s important that people who work with the Marketing Eye brand really understand and have empathy with the challenges that a small business owner faces.
“Being able to employ someone like Lisa with a background in large corporations, as well as small businesses, provides us with a brand champion who is able to connect with Marketing Eye’s clients.
“We’re thrilled to have Lisa on board – it is fortuitous that we’ve been able to attract such an amazing talent that our clients will benefit from.”
