It’s happened to all of us at some point, where we are at a meeting and have lost our train of thought, forgotten the name of our colleague or the person we are meeting with, or just forgotten important details that we really need to remember.
A few months ago, I met with Dr Judy Tang, a renowned Neuropsychologist in Melbourne who specialises in helping people of all ages improve their memory, confidence and ultimately health.
In business, there has been many times where I have wished I remembered more details of what was said and yet no matter how hard I try, I can’t.
Unfortunately, for our ageing population, many of us aren’t working hard enough at keeping our brains ticking over and it is affecting our quality of life. I for one can say that my brain is less active now then every before and I don’t want to grow older and have the degenerate more. It will not only affect my health but also my ability in business and quality of life.
We take for granted that the older we get, the more likely we are to forget things – but that is not how it has to be according to Dr Judy Tang.
“The brain is like anything else, it needs to be continually used and trained in order to keep working effectively,” says Dr Tang.
Jurmaine Health has today launched their new website (www.jurmainehealth.com.au) and is targeting not just the aged, but also anyone who is interested in training their brains to remember more and ensure that they are in the best possible health as they get older.
Corporates are hiring Jurmaine Health to work with ‘teams’ on ways in which they can keep their brains more active and train them to be better at remembering amongst other things. This has proven to be a huge benefit in business and is making ‘teams’ more productive.
Human Resource Departments see these seminars and courses as instrumental in making teams more productive and effective. The more active the brain, the better the performance.
Being ‘brain active’ or as Dr Judy Tang from Jurmaine Health likes to say “having a Wisebrain”, is now something that all HR Departments are seeing as being instrumental to improving business performance.
